Our Cusco City Tour is the perfect way to explore the historic center and discover the city with its amazing Inca heritage. We will start at the Plaza de Armas where the guide will share fun stories about the square and its history. Walk through the old streets and notice the mix of Inca walls and colonial buildings. This is a great way to get a feel for the city.

Next we will head to Qorikancha, the most important Inca temple. Explore the sacred halls, see the precise stonework, and hear about the rituals that took place here. After that we will drive up into the hills around Cusco to visit the archaeological circuit and enjoy the valley views along the way.

In the afternoon we will stop at Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay. These places show massive fortresses, ceremonial spaces, and water temples. Along the way learn about Inca engineering, ancient rituals, and local traditions. This city tour gives a full introduction to Cusco culture and history while keeping the day relaxed and fun.

Day 01

CITY TOUR CUSCO

We will start the day at 9:00 A.M. in Cusco main square, Plaza de Armas. We will meet our guide and learn about the square history and Inca foundations. Then we will wander through narrow streets with amazing stonework and feel the energy of the historic center.
Next, we will walk to Qorikancha, only 500 meters away. Inside, we will explore sacred halls with colonial murals. Our guide will explain the Inca rituals and we will admire the precise stonework that shows their incredible skills.
After Qorikancha, we will drive up to Sacsayhuaman at 3,700 meters. We will check out the huge stone walls and hear stories about the ceremonies that happened here. We will also take in stunning views of Cusco and the surrounding mountains.
Just five minutes away is Qenqo. Here, we will explore carved passages and ceremonial altars in the rock. Our guide will explain lunar rituals and ancient offerings as we walk through the chambers and learn about Inca spiritual practices.
Next stop is Puka Pukara at 3,850 meters. We will see this reddish military outpost and learn how it controlled travelers entering Cusco. There will be great spots to take photos of the hills and stone structures around us.
Finally, we will visit Tambomachay, 600 meters from Puka Pukara. We will explore its water channels and fountains. Our guide will tell us why water was so important to the Inca, and we will enjoy the calm Andean surroundings.
We will head back to Cusco around 2:00 P.M. after visiting all the sites. We will finish the tour in Plaza de Armas with time for photos and some rest.
