Arequipa City Tour​ – City Tour Arequipa Peru

We will start the day at 9:00 A.M. at Arequipa’s Plaza de Armas. We will wander the historic streets, checking out the white volcanic stone buildings. The guide will tell us why Arequipa is called the “White City” and share fun stories about its past. Of course, we will stop for plenty of photos of the cathedral and plazas.

Next, we will head to the Monasterio de Santa Catalina, a colorful place full of cloisters, chapels, and vibrant walls. We will explore the courtyards and rooms while hearing interesting stories about the nuns and colonial life. Every corner is perfect for photos and soaking in the history.

After that, we will go to the Mirador de Yanahuara for amazing views of Arequipa and the nearby volcanoes Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu. We will admire the old colonial balconies and take in the city from above while the guide shares local stories.

Finally, we will explore the San Lázaro district, a lively area with artisan shops and colorful streets. We can walk at a relaxed pace, watch daily life, and even try some local treats. The tour wraps up back at the Plaza de Armas around 1:00 P.M., leaving us with a real feel for Arequipa’s history, culture, and charm.
