Day 01

Humantay Lake Full Day

We will begin the Humantay Lake Tour with hotel pickup between 4:00 A.M. and 5:00 A.M. in Cusco’s Historic Center. We will travel by private transport through the Sacred Valley, enjoying views of Andean mountains, rivers, and local villages. Along the route, our guide will explain the geography and cultural importance of this region. We will serve breakfast en route near Mollepata to prepare for the high-altitude hike.
We will arrive at Soraypampa, the starting point of our trek to Laguna Humantay. We will begin the hike along well-marked paths, passing rocky landscapes, highland grasslands, and small streams. The ascent will gradually expose panoramic views of the Salkantay and Humantay mountains.
Upon reaching Laguna Humantay, we will admire its vibrant turquoise waters surrounded by towering snow-capped peaks. We will walk along the lake’s edge, take photographs, and enjoy the serenity of this high-Andean environment. Our guide will explain the spiritual and cultural significance of the lake to local communities. We will spend sufficient time observing the lake, capturing the beauty of its reflection, and appreciating the natural scenery.
After exploring the lake, we will descend back to Soraypampa, taking care on the rocky and uneven paths. At the base, we will enjoy a buffet lunch and rest before boarding our transport back to Cusco. Along the return journey, we will pass through Mollepata and admire the Sacred Valley landscapes. We will arrive in Cusco by approximately 6:00 P.M., completing a full day of hiking, culture, and breathtaking Andean views.
